Abstraction & Ourselves

Abstraction & Ourselves is the first abstract painting and glass sculpture exhibition in the United States. Featuring monumental-scale paintings and sculpture by renowned international artists, the exhibition draws upon the significant holdings of abstract glass sculpture in the CAT’s collection, recently acquired paintings, and significant works on loan from national and regional collections.

Experience highlights from the Cafesjian Art Trust Museum's collection throughout the building and grounds. Visitor favorites always on view include two large works by Dale Chihuly, and a Robert Indiana LOVE sculpture.

Meet Me in the Forest
September 3, 2026 – February 27, 2027

Meet Me in the Forest invites you into the forests, gardens, and natural worlds artists create—places that hold mystery, mythology, and history. The exhibition foregrounds the complex and layered relationships between nature and humankind. Natural worlds are main characters in these stories, places where transcendent beauty, existential danger, and humanity converge and collide.

Collidoscope: de la Torre Brothers Retro-Perspective
October 17, 2025 – February 7, 2026

The first major touring exhibition for artists and brothers Einar and Jamex de la Torre (b. 1963 and 1960, Guadalajara, Mexico), Collidoscope: De la Torre Brothers Retro-Perspective presents 37 works of sculpture and installation described by The New York Times as art of “dazzling complexity.”

Start your weekend feeling refreshed with outdoor yoga, fresh air, and a welcoming community. Afterwards, pop into the museum to see our current exhibition, Abstraction & Ourselves.

Are you looking for a fun, free opportunity to get out of the house and spend quality time with your baby? Come to Baby Time for a judgment-free, enriching, and supportive first introduction to an art museum. No reservation needed; just drop by if you can.

Babies only, please. To ensure the safety of the art, and to allow us to keep our focus on the babies and their grown-ups, this program is not intended for babies who have started walking independently, toddlers, or older siblings. (But they are all very welcome when the CAT is open for regular public hours!)

The CAT Family Festival is back for a third year in a row! This beloved community event is fun for all ages. Each ticket purchase includes an ice cream treat and access to all event activities, including several art projects, a dance party, chalk, bubbles, a scavenger hunt, and games.
